Jeanine Barone, MS

Jeanine Barone is a nutritionist and exercise physiologist, and journalist who has been trained as a research scientist. She graduated from Barnard College, and received a master’s degree in nutrition and exercise physiology from Columbia University. She has published scientific papers in the peer-reviewed literature based on her studies on dietary fat and immunity, and the effect of various dietary factors on the risk of chronic diseases. Jeanine recently co-authored (with Lisa Natoli) the Yum Factor: Changing Your Attitude Towards Food and Fitness that takes a cognitive-behavioral approach. Jeanine has been a nutrition and fitness consultant on myriad health and wellness books, newsletters and cookbooks. She is also a travel writer and photographer who pursues an active lifestyle by biking, hiking, walking and cross country skiing all over the world.
